The Ranch Golf Club Wedding | Julian and Shasha

Julian and Shasha (special feature- The Voice finalist Chris Jamison)
Mark 10:9 “What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”

Julian was riding up to camp last June of 2010 when a friend asked him if he was seeing anybody. He said “No. Not really.”. Then his friend asked “What do you think of Sarahlynn?”. Julian said “She’s great. But I think a friend of mine is really interested.”. He’s friend then said “Well Sarahlynn is gonna be at camp, you’re gonna be at camp but your friend isn’t gonna be at camp.”. And as you know the rest is history.

Watch this two wonderful couple as they made the most wonderful declaration of love before God, each other, their friends and family in this Wedding Film.

Palm Event Center Wedding | Shirley and Eddison

Good things don’t come easily and shouldn’t be given up quickly.

Their friendship started in the hallways of George Washington High School. Over the course of sharing many classes together, their friendship developed rapidly. From working on countless projects together through high school to visiting each other in college and travelling to distant countries around the world. They become as some might call them joined at the hip. You can’t find one without the other.

For their tenth anniversary dating, Jason decided to surprise Shirley by taking the day off of work. Being the responsible person that he is, he made sure to get confirmation and approval from her boss. When she walked out of her parents’ house for the morning commute, she was shocked to see Eddison waiting at the door. He had a full day plan and all his preparation paid off.

During their 11th year anniversary he decided to propose to Shirley in Hawaii. He failed twice before finally succeeding. At the first beach location waiting for the right moment they were asked to leave by the guard. The second time the weather didn’t cooperate. But Eddison was determined. So, the third time he succeeded.

Montalvo Arts Center Wedding | Steven and Judy

A night out in San Francisco on June of 2011 orchestrated this fateful encounter. Judy was new to the city and she does not know anyone but her friend who is moving away. Her friend introduced her to a couple of people, and one of them was Steven.

Steven worked in finance, which meant his day started at 4:45 am. To compensate for the resulting sleep-deprivation, he would sleep all weekend like a bear in hibernation.

Judy likes to nibble and hoard food like a squirrel, and when she gets excited her eyes light up and she runs around making noises like they do in the cartoons.

Henceforth, they were known as “Brr” and “Sqrrl”.

Let’s watch their amazing Wedding Film and see them share their vows to each other as they start their journey together. May their marriage bring them all the exquisite excitements a marriage should bring, and may life grant them also patience, tolerance, and understanding.

Asian Art Museum Wedding | Haiyan and Jeffrey

We seriously cannot get over this Asian Art Museum wedding video we filmed in San Francisco. So we are excited to share with you yet another full til heartwarming wedding film.

The story of this lovely couple began on a Friday evening on February of 2014. It was one of those random evening that neither Jeffrey nor Haiyan had intended to meet the love of their lives. On a whim, Jeffrey decided to attend his first non-hiking event of his meet up group held at a hotel-bar in Foster City. Meanwhile, Haiyan had just finished work on a rainy Friday night and was debating whether she would skip the meet up event. She went anyways.

Haiyan walked in the hotel lobby and Jeffrey immediately noticed her beauty. He said to himself “Ohhh I hope she is part of this group. She is really cute.”. As it turned out Haiyan was a recent member of the group.

She was introduced to everyone by the event host and Haiyan felt comfortably engaging in friendly casual conversations. During their conversation she thought that Jeffrey was funny and he thought Haiyan was cute.

At the end of the night, Jeffrey asked her for her phone number. Unfortunately, his phone died but he tried to convince Haiyan to write her phone number on a napkin. She refused. But he was really determined to get to know her.

Unsuccessful with the phone number he contacted her through the group’s message board. He remembered her saying that she likes dogs so he told her that he had a dog and they could meet at a dog park. She agreed. As they walked and talked at the park, they’re finding that they really like each other. Haiyan also discovered that the dog was not his, it was his family’s dog.

After that first date and more that followed, the two became a couple. They were building a friendship and a romance together. With Haiyan, Jeffrey found himself removing all self-doubt and worries about the future and he fell in-love with Haiyan.

Haiyan recalls fondly, when Jeffrey gave her a jar with hearts that he had cut out. He told her that every day for the next month she could open one heart to read about how much he loves her. Haiyan took that jar home and opened and read each and every heart in that jar that evening. From then on Haiyan knew that Jeffrey was not only funny but he was the one and only.

Now let us watch how they continue to grow in their mutual admiration in this beautiful Wedding Film.

3. Bring valid Identification

Bring valid authentic legal photo identification card containing photograph, full legal name, date of birth, date of issue, and date of expiration (Examples: passport, driver's license, naturalization certificate, resident alien card, military I.D.) If the legal picture I.D. card does not contain your full legal name you must also present a certified copy of birth certificate or social security card, showing your full legal name.

There will be a license fee of $104 collected at the time of scheduling. You can pay by cash, money order, or credit/debit card. If you are reserving online, credit card is the best form of payment.

4. After getting the license
Your marriage license expires after 90 days after the date it was issued so you need to find your wedding venue and vendors to tie the knot.

Top Three Reasons Why You Should Consider A First Look

Your wedding day is a day filled with more emotions than you may believe yourself capable of feeling. There will be excitement, nervousness, anxiousness, stress, you will feel rushed, unprepared and completely ready for this! I have found as I have been able to do first look videos with couples that these emotions have been much less debilitating and the couple is able to really enjoy the ceremony. Here are the reasons I believe every couple should consider doing a first look.

1. Being able to see your significant other before having to walk down the aisle will often have a calming effect. It can give a moment to reassure you that everything is okay and that the love of your life is in fact waiting for you as they have promised. I cannot describe the weight that seems to lift off of the bride's shoulders as she is able to gaze into her future husband's eyes, and to see his love and appreciation for her and all the work that went into making the day perfect.

Check this Instagram video teaser and see Christian's reaction of their first look! (Sonoma Wedding)

2. When you do a First Look it gives the couple some time to be alone, to appreciate each other and to be able to share an intimate private moment before having to jump right into the seriousness of the ceremony and the crowds of well-meaning people that will surround them immediately after. It gives them a moment to share some thoughts and endearing words, privately. The bride and groom will not have to feel rushed and can take the time to express any feelings they want to share beforehand.

3. It gives more time not only to have pictures taken but it also gives the ability to take more personal, memorable pictures that you can later look back on with great fondness because of the time, care and emotion you were able to put into them. After the ceremony you will have many people wanting to come and say hello, congratulations and shake your hand. It can make for a long day for everyone involved when the time has to be taken immediately after the ceremony to take family pictures and even longer for those of just the couple. It can make the couple feel as though they have to rush so they can rejoin their family and friends who are waiting and in doing so they will miss out on some opportunities to really capture the emotion of the day. But when they are done during the First Look you have time to get some wonderful photos and videos, without sacrificing your time with your family and friends and the feeling of urgency and being rushed can be avoided.

At the end of the day, and days, months or even years later you able to go back and watch a beautifully created, personalized video and view pictures of your First Look it will take you back in time and remind you of those feelings you had as you gaze upon the love of your life, on your wedding day, for the first time. It will bring back memories and emotions you will never want to forget. It is a moment you will treasure and you will always be thankful for choosing to do a First Look.

Financial Advice for your Dream Wedding

Your wedding day is likely the ultimate life celebration and it can get expensive if you’re not mindful of your spending. If you’re like many of us, you picture a perfect wedding day right down to every detail - and why shouldn’t you? It is your big day after all.

We look at wedding tips to help you have a memorable day without breaking the bank.

Stay within your budget

There are many, many luxuries out there to chose from when planning a wedding. From the dress, transport, flowers, jewelry, hair and makeup, the options are endless. Creating a realistic budget and sticking to it will help you to stay within your means. Don’t be tempted to go over budget and remind yourself that whilst it may be one of the most important days of your life, getting married is about the marriage and not the one day.

Picking the date

You can help reduce costs by choosing to get married at a less popular time of year. For example, Summer weddings tend to cost more and Winter weddings can be cheaper. Discuss with your partner the importance (if any) of the right time for your big day.

Choosing a weekday instead of a weekend will also save you big bucks and these days, many people do this.

The venue

The venue will be the most costly part of your day as you’ll need to pay for all your guests.

A big wedding held in a church, followed by a flash reception could set you back financially but if you’re less traditional opt for a beautiful garden and a relaxed dinner. The simpler you keep it, the less it’s going to cost you.

Transport

Typically, people will get a limo or other fancy cars to transport the bridal party. This can make you feel fancy on the day and will look great in the photos but hiring cars can be expensive. If you know someone who owns a nice car, you could ask them to use it and even give them a small fee.

Photographer/videographer

You want your wedding video to be creative and interesting so this is one expense you shouldn’t skimp out on. There are countless companies who do wedding videos and photos but do some research to ensure you’re getting the highest quality.

A reputable videographer will be able to go through exactly what you want and show some examples of their work. It’s better to pay that extra bit and have a wedding video that will still look great, years from now and let you relive your big day, over and over.

Flowers and decorations

Go for simple decorations or craft them yourself if you can. Having a large number of flowers can add up, so keep it simple and elegant by having a small bouquet on each table and extra flowers to decorate. Instead of ordering from a florist, getting your arrangements from the flower markets can also be cheaper.

Saving for your financial future

It’s important to remember that your wedding is about the rest of your life and not just your wedding. Avoid going over-the-top with the choices you make for the day by opting for a simple -but elegant- style.

Nobody wants to enter married life trying to catch up on bills from their wedding day. Be sure to shop around and compare prices so that you are getting the most for your money.

Whether you want a big lavish wedding or something more intimate and cost-friendly, there are ways to keep to your budget. Ultimately, your day should be about your commitment to your best friend, celebrating with those who are near and dear to you. Don’t forget to enjoy your big day.

How to Look Relaxed and Happy on Your Wedding Film

It’s a common question we get asked: how do the bride and groom ensure they look relaxed on their wedding film? If this has crossed your mind, then we can help! Follow these simple tips to ensure your wedding video is all you hoped for.

Our number one tip

We want you to act naturally. We’re creating your wedding film, so it’s important that it features the real you! If your videography package includes shooting bridal preparation, this will give you a more relaxed setting to adjust to the videographer’s presence. If you are very uncomfortable in front of cameras generally, having an engagement shoot is a great way to gain some confidence before your special day.

How to look relaxed and happy

You’re going to be happy – it’s your wedding day after all! But it’s still easy to be caught out by occasionally looking tired or overwhelmed. Here are our top tips to look relaxed and happy with on-point body language and facial expressions. Don’t worry; we keep it simple!

Body language

· Stand up straight. Good posture is flattering on everyone.

· Keep your head held high. You’ll look confident and like you really want to be there.

· Keep your body language calm. Fiddling with your hair or dress will come off as a case of nerves.

· Laugh a lot. Show your personality and really celebrate. If you celebrate by dancing, then, by all means, dance your heart out!

Facial expressions

· If you feel yourself squinting or tensing your face muscles, take a deep breath, relaxing and opening your face.

· You’ll want to smile a lot, but if you wear a huge grin the entire time, your face is bound to hurt! Don’t forget you can smile with your eyes as well. This is particularly trendy in photography and videography today!

Other helpful tips

· Make sure you get enough sleep leading up to your big day, to help you feel relaxed.

· A wedding gown that you feel comfortable in will allow you to move about freely and look very much at ease.

· Avoid shimmering or glittering makeup elements. These can sometimes look like your skin has a sheen of sweat, which does not help to achieve a composed look.

How to interact with the videographer

It’s important to keep a balance with how much attention you pay to the camera. Ideally, you shouldn’t be preoccupied with it. Don’t look FOR the camera and don’t look AT the camera. It is the videographer’s job to find you with the camera. However, it’s important not to turn your back to the camera. You should always be facing in its general direction or giving the camera your profile.

How to showcase your love

There’s something so simple you can do to bring your love to life on your wedding film. When saying your vows, hold hands and look right into each other’s eyes. It will be so powerful and romantic, that when you watch your film, it will take you right back to that incredible moment.

One last thing

We want you to know that you are beautiful. Own it, and it will shine through in your gorgeous wedding film, preserving the happiness of your special day, forever.

Why Should You Hire a Professional Wedding Videographer?

Why Should You Hire a Professional Wedding Videographer?

When planning a wedding, a professional photographer is often high on the list of must-have vendors, but couples can be a little more hesitant to hire a professional wedding videographer. In fact, couples often consider having a friend or family member video their wedding simply because they happen to own a video camera. But, is this wise? If you’re currently planning your wedding, we have one favor to ask as you read this: think to the future and ask yourself what would be the perfect way to be able to relive the cherished moments of your wedding?

sf city hall wedding video

Keep this in mind as we share some deep insight into the world of wedding videography and look at the important reasons why you should hire a professional wedding videographer:

Commitment

Hiring a professional wedding videographer means you enter into a contract. This contract gives you peace of mind that no matter what comes up, the videographer is obligated to fulfil their professional duties to you by:

· Arriving on time

· Being completely ‘in the zone’ the entire time they are at your wedding

· Always showing up and in the event of illness, they will have an alternate videographer on standby to step into their shoes

Quality

The quality of your finished video is of utmost importance to preserving your day in the most special light. A professional videographer will use the latest High Definition equipment to capture beautiful quality imagery.

It may be a surprise to you to learn that capturing sound well can often be the more technical aspect of videography. A professional videographer will have top-notch audio equipment placed at several vantage points to ensure they clearly capture key moments like the reading of vows, toasts and the music to your first dance.

Editing takes incredible skill, and this is what turns the raw footage of your wedding into a 3-5 minute highlight or 10-30 minute feature edit. Today’s wedding videographers create a much more cinematic experience than the documentary-style wedding video you may have seen before. They tell a story, building tension and emotion as the film progresses. Your professional wedding videographer will also create transitions in your wedding film that are smooth and natural.

Professionalism

A professional wedding videographer has a superior approach to your wedding. They will:

· Carry back up equipment so that flat batteries and failed memory cards don’t affect you for one second

· Be ready at all times throughout your event

· Be unobtrusive, but in rare moments won’t be afraid to provide direction to ensure they have the footage they need for a beautiful film

The moments

wedding vdieographer

Your videographer will capture the essence of the day so you can remember it forever. This is in the details like your guests laughing and then crying at your father’s toast, or how your partner reacts when he first sees you in your stunning gown.

There will even be moments during your special day that you miss yourself. As you gaze into your partner’s eyes while saying your vows, you probably won’t see your mother’s emotional expression. You also won’t get to see your bridesmaids walking down the aisle, but with a wedding film, you will be able to see everything special about the day and relive it whenever you like. And the best part? You can show it to anyone who wasn’t able to attend, or your future children and grandchildren.

You will put so much time and effort into planning the day that symbolizes your love, and you will enjoy it so much it will flash by in a beautiful heartbeat. We can preserve your day for eternity, and that is why hiring a professional wedding videographer is just so important.

UPDATE 11/30/16 : Selina and Erics Yelp Review
When I was looking for my wedding videographer I had watched many, many wedding videos and after a short while they all seems to blend together and look the same. Until I happened onto REB6studios. They had a knack for storytelling that I found truly unique and some of their work even got my teary-eyed (which is hard to do considering I knew nothing of the wedding couples and I am not a crier). After that I knew I had to try to convince my hubby to splurge on our video and thankfully I succeeded. Fastforward through all our wedding planning and wedding itself, when we got our highlights video we were not disappointed! Sigmund and his team really delivered and stayed true to the storytelling that had drawn me to their work in the first place. REB6studios, thank you, thank you, thank you for doing such a fantastic job capturing our special day. I felt the magic of the night all over again when I watched that video and couldn’t have made a better decision on going with your team to capture our wedding memories!
