We seriously cannot get over this Asian Art Museum wedding video we filmed in San Francisco. So we are excited to share with you yet another full-tilt heartwarming wedding film.
The story of this lovely couple began on a Friday evening on February of 2014. It was one of those random evening that neither Jeffrey nor Haiyan had intended to meet the love of their lives. On a whim, Jeffrey decided to attend his first non-hiking event of his meet up group held at a hotel-bar in Foster City. Meanwhile, Haiyan had just finished work on a rainy Friday night and was debating whether she would skip the meet up event. She went anyways.
Haiyan walked in the hotel lobby and Jeffrey immediately noticed her beauty. He said to himself “Ohhh I hope she is part of this group. She is really cute.”. As it turned out Haiyan was a recent member of the group.
She was introduced to everyone by the event host and Haiyan felt comfortably engaging in friendly casual conversations. During their conversation she thought that Jeffrey was funny and he thought Haiyan was cute.
At the end of the night, Jeffrey asked her for her phone number. Unfortunately, his phone died but he tried to convince Haiyan to write her phone number on a napkin. She refused. But he was really determined to get to know her.
Unsuccessful with the phone number he contacted her through the group’s message board. He remembered her saying that she likes dogs so he told her that he had a dog and they could meet at a dog park. She agreed. As they walked and talked at the park, they’re finding that they really like each other. Haiyan also discovered that the dog was not his, it was his family’s dog.
After that first date and more that followed, the two became a couple. They were building a friendship and a romance together. With Haiyan, Jeffrey found himself removing all self-doubt and worries about the future and he fell in-love with Haiyan.
Haiyan recalls fondly, when Jeffrey gave her a jar with hearts that he had cut out. He told her that every day for the next month she could open one heart to read about how much he loves her. Haiyan took that jar home and opened and read each and every heart in that jar that evening. From then on Haiyan knew that Jeffrey was not only funny but he was the one and only.
