Julia Morgan Wedding Videographer | Michelle and Matthew

Matthew knew her family for a very long time. And has accepted her family, her dad and his “hoarding addiction” and all the women in her family and their “opinionated selves”. He fits right in because he is much opinionated himself ✌😆.

Matthew compliments Michelle very well. She is a type of person who is very reserved but shines bright amongst those surrounds her. She brought constant growth and positive changes into his life. She definitely made him a better man.

At the actual proposal to Michelle he offered her the most thought-out passionate and emotional poem that everyone has ever heard. No one have ever seen Matt more excited and in love.

Look at the most genuine and heartfelt emotions of this lovely couple as they exchange their promise of forever to each other in their Wedding Video. 👌

San Francisco Wedding Videographer of the Year

Hooray!!! We are glad to announce that we have been awarded the BAPVA (Bay Area Professional Videographer’s Association) as the wedding videographer of the year.  The name just represents the owner and the elder of the team, just ignore that. It should be REBSTUDIOS but of course multiple names wouldn’t fit into a small plaque. This is the work of our talented shooters, editors, and storytellers who always push the creative boundaries each and every wedding.

This has been our second time winning this prestigious award, one in 2013, and this year 2015. There are many awards out there that you can get such as weddingwires bride’s choice, the knots best , and Bay Lists awards, which we have won in the past. These are won thru popularity votes, and numbers of reviews. Then there are awards, where you submit a wedding film, together with other talented san francisco wedding videographer group and be judged by points. Whoever has the most points through out the year wins the San Francisco Wedding Videographer of the year. We are honored to be the winner of BAPVA best wedding videographer this year by submitting and getting most points collected by some of our wedding films!

We owe this to the people who believed in us since day 1. We owe this to our couples who also trusted us to be on their big day. Big thanks to you our followers as well, of course, without you, this blog would be non existent!

On to the next competition!

San Francisco Engagement Photos | Jessica + Brad

We are back on the blog with some san francisco engagement photos session we took a just a couple of days ago. Jessica and Brad spent the time with our team and weathered the cloudy/rainy day. We got really lucky because by the time we had to shoot outdoors, the rain would stop! Jessica and Brad were so natural and to be honest, we didn’t have a hard time getting our candid shots because it seemed like they knew what to do already. Then when we asked if they researched on engagements photos before, they said they didn’t look for it too much. We can’t wait to photograph their wedding this coming July!

Jessica and Brad’s Love Story looks a lot like this:

We met at work when Brad was finishing his long term teaching assignment. I’ve seen him around but never really had long conversations with him. he says he remembers the first time he saw me at a teacher meeting, wearing a UCD sweater and hair up in a ponytail (it was one of my lazy days!) the coworkers were throwing him a go away party and that is when we really first started talking. I asked for good burrito places to eat at since he was a SF native and he texted me a few spots. since I was still new to the city recently moved from LA, I asked him to take me and a friend out to the mission (my students told me scary stories and I was too scared to venture alone) to go eating, dancing, and drinking. we started seeing each other more and we would go to happy hour after work when he would substitute. on days when he wasn’t working, he would sometimes bring breakfast or lunch for me. I knew he had a crush on me when he drove down to LA for spring break last minute to bring down a case of wine for my friend! he asked me to be his girlfriend at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge right before i left for my month long trip to Europe. The trip to Europe was an eternity for Brad as he tried to stay up to text or Facetime whenever he could in the late hours.

As the last two school years have gone by, Brad ended up with a full time position teaching right across the hall from me. We spent the time growing and enjoying in each other’s company, jesting every time students could ask whether we were going out. Brad would always joke about proposing to me whenever a loving moment would come by, and he finally made the proposal on the second-to-last day of the Fall Semester in December. I was surprised as I was just ready to go on Winter Vacation – wearing only semi-casual attire and not expecting anything at all. He wanted to go on a drive after dinner – something he does often so I didn’t think anything of it. He drove the hills overlooking the city on portola drive saying he wanted to see the view. again, nothing new so i just went along with it. we announced it the next to our coworkers and our secretary made the announcement over the intercom!

San Francisco Wedding Videographer | Angie + Justin

There was nothing better than the Nestldown  venue for the wedding of Angie and Justin. It was a perfect venue to have their closest family and friends see them exchange vows right behind a beautiful gian redwood trees setting. It’s been a while since we witnessed a smaller wedding like this, small number of guests,  little bit of tears and laughters and amazing food!

We knew our way around the venue, since we were like their preferred vendor at the Nestldown as videographers. Not officially though 🙂 However, if you count how many times we’re here every year, you would think that we are the preferred vendors. Plus, one of the best films created by us were filmed at the Nestldown. The ceremony location is why you want to be married at the Nestldown. You really have to see it personally. Grand is an understatement. If you mix in the audio system they set up there, and the waterfalls background, you’ll think you are watching a concert.

UPDATE: Wohoooo!!! Just after a couple of days, Angie and Justin sent us this email. We really appreciate the LOVE from these two. To us, getting something like this is a BIG DEAL. We get to show our future clients, and our blog readers that we wouldn’t be where we are today if not because of our amazing clients who gives us emails like this and support our small business.

Cinematic Video Production | UCSF Alumni Weekend

We created this cinematic video production highlights for UCSF Alumni weekend a couple of months ago and we were happy and of course our clients were happy with the results! Aside from company training videos we produced in the past, we also film corporate events like the UCSF Alumni Weekend. We’ve met a couple of Nobel Laureate! Love our job!!!

Project Name:
UCSF Alumini Weekend

Project Objectives:
-produce a cinematic video production video of UCSF alumni Weekend
-professional video lighting and sound

Project Approach:
Our video production company was recently commissioned to film UCSF’s alumni weekend. Our goal was to be able to show alumni the activities from breakfast luncheon, Q and A sessions, and paper presentations.

After a couple of hours of discussion with our coordinator, we finally came up with a list of video and audio gears we needed to bring to the event. We created a list of important parts of the day and came up with a shot list of what we needed to capture.

Day Of Production
The day of shooting went smoothly. We immediately setup our cameras on the pre determined spots specially for the Q and session video. We brought the dji ronin m to add a bit more of dynamic shots for the cinematic video production piece we will then create.

Post Production
Our video production company can handle multiple post production projects. Luckily, we didn’t have projects lined up in post, so we were able to edit the highlights earlier than the contracted delivery target.

Final Product
The final piece was delivered in a digital format, youtube and vimeo ready. UCSF Alumni plans to use their alumni weekend highlights video for their website.

Now you know that we’re not only your san francisco wedding videographer, yes, we also do corporatefilms as well. Slow Motion Booth | Legion of Honor Wedding

We’re back on the blog to feature Lisa and Jeff’s slow motion booth wedding at the Legion of Honor. To refresh your memory we created their save the date video a while back, and they decided to add a slow motion booth in addition to commissioning us to film their wedding. The slow motion booth as expected, was a hit at their wedding.

We would like to share with you what Lisa said on one of our five star yelp reviews :

And….. ACTION…

Sigmund and his team covered our wedding at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco earlier this month. My husband and I were looking for a great way for both our guests and for us to capture the day in a unique, non-traditional way. What better way to do so than a slow motion booth.

We had screened a few other Bay Area companies that also offered a similar service, but found Event Superheroes to be the one that stood out. We reached out to the team via their website about 5 months before our wedding day and got a response instantly, which I appreciated as a planner personality type who gets antsy waiting for replies.

The whole process was smooth and the team was extremely professional and responsive to our requests and questions. Event Superheroes provided all the props and took care of the set-up and editing.

Our friends and family loved that it was different, and clearly from the clips had an absolute blast. The videos are posted via their blog and linked through Facebook which makes sharing very easy. If you’re looking for an extraordinary way to cover event I highly recommend Event Superheroes.

And….. CUT!

We would like to thank our fellow vendors for allowing us to deliver and make the slow motion booth fun and exciting throughout the night.

Video Production Company | ALDF Interview Video

The REB6STUDIOS video production company team recently produced an interview with the executive director of ALDF in Sonoma, CA. While Ian Elwood was looking for video prodcution companies in San Francisco, he stumbled upon our team. We were exchanging emails back and forth with their social media head for a week, and we finally decided that we were a great fit to work on this project.

The interview video below was cut short for you to get an idea of the quality of sound and video we can produce for your company. Of course, the final product was delivered in perfect shape 🙂

Here is what you need to pay attention to if you’re looking for video production companies in San Francisco:

1. Quality of the Video – Look at how sharp, crisp, clear the image is. An amazing production company invests in high quality top of the line cameras for their clients.

2. Sound – a good video production company should be able to have an arsenal of high quality audio equipment to get the best sound possible. Not, to mention, they should be able to have a reliable system as well.

3. Great Customer Service – a video production company should be able to assist you and make suggestions during the pre production process. If they don’t care and get to know your project, then it probably won’t turn out really well in the end.

Project Name:
ALDF Animal Legal Defense Fund Interview Video
san francisco video production company – reb6studios

Project Objectives:
-produce a video interview matching previous client’s video
-professional video lighting and sound
-use a teleprompter with script

Project Approach:
Our video production company have served numerous business around here in the san francisco and the bay area. We were surprised that even in the sonoma and napa areas, we were still being found to produce quality videos for non profit organizations. One of those who found us was the ADLF (Animal Legal Defense Fund). We were tasked to interview the executive director Stephen Wells.

First we needed to find out how long the script will be in order for us to give them a proper quotation of the hours we need to be working pre and post production.

Our main contact gave us a picture beforehand and it really helped a lot in determining what we need to bring or not to bring to the shoot.

Preparation is key, a video production company must be well prepared upon arrival to the shoot for a smooth sailing production.

Day Of Production
Upon arrival, we started setting up our backdrops, camera equipments, lighting, and the teleprompter. It almost took about an hour to setup. We initially suggested a 2 hr film production in order for us to have an extra time for spill offs, and retakes. Yes, mistakes on the interviews happen even with a teleprompter. A video production company must set this expectations with their clients, because sometimes they have no idea that even with a clear prompt in front of you, readers will still make mistakes once in a while.

Post Production
The post per our contract will be delivering the synced audio files to the client. Their own video production company (in house) will later on edit the piece combined with b rolls they shot previously.

Final Product
The final product was sent to their provided hard drive and sent immediately thru fedex.

Now you know that we’re not only your san francisco wedding videographer,  yes, we also do corporate films as well. So if your company happens to look for video production companies in san francisco, the reb6studios video production team is here! So, check out more of our works under our CORPORATE VIDEO page

Palo Alto Wedding Videographer | Same Day Edit + Reactions – Maureen + Chris

We are proud to share with you our latest same day edit film. If you guys don’t know it yet, Same Day Edits are wedding films edited the same day and shown at the reception. What we love about same day edits are the instant gratification we get that same night of how well our same day edit films did. Sometimes, we have guests approach us and gives us the high fives, sometimes hugs to congratulate us from the hard work we did that day. Compared to our highlights and feature films, which are delivered later, same day edits are created with a different workflow in mind but the same concept with our highlights.

Two weeks ago we filmed the wonderful wedding of Maureen and Chris, and we showed the same day edit film to their family and friends. Maureen and Chris dated for more than 13 years before tying the knot. The approach on this edit was to show the “why.” Our pre production preparation really helped us to get to the why. Our team discussed and drafted a plan, put the music, and created the story line beforehand. We also ask our couples some questions to get to know them a little bit, and believe it or not, it helps a LOT!

How did you guys meet?
Maureen and I met at UC Davis. She said I was the tall Asian guy with long sideburns that looked completely white-washed and she could never be into me. I noticed her while roaming the dorms searching for “girls” to meet. I noticed her, we introduced ourselves. From then on, we saw each other on campus a lot more often.

What makes you two together “work”?
Maureen and I work because we have just been together for “that” long. The reason why it’s worked for so long is because the core foundation for us really mesh. We both firmly believe in family values and putting family first. We have many differences but I think it’s our foundation of family and lifestyle that really make us work.

How long did you dated before getting engaged?
Maureen and I dated for 12 years and 8 months before I popped the question. It was a long, long wait for Maureen. After 1 year of working, 4 years of medical school, and then 4 years of OB/GYN residency, I finally proposed to her on Christmas Day in 2014.

Things you look forward together after the wedding?
We look forward to not planning a wedding, traveling to our next destination whenever Maureen gets time off from the hospital, settling down in a place we can call our own, and starting a family so the kids can meet their Great-Grandmother.

The team had an awesome day because Maureen and Chris wedding had a lot of details and events. The vows, speeches, details, all combined will make a perfect recipe for a wedding film!

Check out the same day edit we did for them

and we also had a “reaction cam” set to film the bride and groom’s moments while watching the film.

Congratulations Maureen and Chris, and welcome to the married club!

Same Sex Weddings | Wedding at the Terra Gallery

When you have this amazing wedding vow you’ve been wanting to say to your partner, there is one important thing you need to do: hire a san francisco wedding videographer who can actually put them all together in a wedding film.

We tried our very best to put their wedding vows in this cinematic wedding film together for Ben and Jason.

Although this wasn’t our first of the many same sex weddings that we covered, there were a lot of things that stood out to us and made us think that this was one of the best same sex wedding video ever made. We’ll at least, that was how we thought when we finished this film.

This cinematic wedding film would be an automatic reb6studios classic.

Early in the morning, we were greeted by Ben and Jason and welcomed us like they knew us all along. We found out that Ben and Jason were family oriented couple. Their families were there for wedding preparation at the St Regis hotel in san francisco. There were so many moments during the wedding preparation that we were able to document. Like for example when they were putting on their jackets, Ben and Jason were just staring at each other and all of a sudden, both of them just lost it. It set the tone of the day, and we knew right on that we had to use this to set the tone of the wedding film. Ben also teared up when his father hugged Jason’s mother. Just a few of the many.

They exchanged wedding vows at the Terra Gallery SF and it was one of the best wedding vows we’ve witnessed in a while. Ben and Jason delivered it so well and so sincerely, straight from the heart. There were moments where you’ll see on the wedding film a couple of their guests really tearing up, bawling.

As mentioned, Ben and Jason were both family oriented, and the best parts of the reception at the Terra Gallery was during the dance with their parents. It was great seeing both parents celebrating as one. Ben and Jason were great party hosts as we found out. Their wedding had a bay area wedding photo booth and and slow motion booth that really entertained everyone the rest of the night.

We would like to thank the amazing vendors that made this cinematic wedding film possible.
